First Official Trailer for Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Animated Show

After the really good Incredible Hulk movie and then the Hulk’s scene stealing appearance in the Avengers movie, this is what we get next for the Hulk. Really? This? Did the Hulk lose a bet or something to appear in this cartoon?

      • What are you talking about? Red Hulk is the Leader of the Thunderbolts, Skaar was in Dark Avengers and She-Hulk is in both Future Foundation and Mighty Avengers.

They indeed are in the comics.

  1. Agreed. While the inner kid in me is excited to have a new Hulk cartoon, I’m just praying this turns out to be better than it looks so far. I also think their timing is a little off. Although it wasn’t a super popular run, they should have released this back during the “Hulk family” storyline in the comic, unless they’re planning to get everyone back together in the comic again (please, no). I’m guessing they might also be putting out a bunch of tie-in merchandise if things go well?

    • About the only good thing would be if there were new Hulk figures were released. It’s been kinda dry with Hulk toys and figures so I am a little desperate at this point.

      • I’ve found a few Avengers Assemble Hulk toys here, but am disappointed to report most of what I’m seeing are repaints of the Avengers movie Hulk toys (a lighter green), though the large “Gamma Strike” Hulk does have a new head sculpt.

    • Looks like they went a little too young with this cartoon, they could have gone with a nice balance between young and still have stuff for adults. But noooooooo!

      • It’s a Cartoon, how can it be “too young”? Did you even read the preview comic that came out in Free comic book day? If you had, you’d know you don’t have anything to worry about.

  2. I won’t pass full judgment until I see the first couple of episodes. I can only hope that it’ll be good. However, I must admit, I was hoping for something more along the lines of JLA or Batman: TAS or Superman: TAS or Teen Titans or Avengers: EMH or Young Justice. That would have been a much better tone and theme for a series like this, especially with the backgrounds of characters like Skaar.

Marvel honestly needs to give us some serious animated series, because shows like Ultimate Spider-Man & Avengers Assemble simply don’t cut it for me. They’re okay, but not great. That’s all I got to say.

    • You haven’t even watched the show, you don’t even know what the tone or theme is.

Considering how they are going to introduce Skaar, i don’t think you have anything to worry about.

      • Is Skaar’s origin remain the same as the comics? Is his mother Caiera the Oldstrong? Does he have, or know of, his brother Hiro-Kala? Does he possess the Old Power?

If not, I’m honestly not going to care for this adaptation of the character. Skaar, of the comics, grew up on a brual, hellish world of fire and monsters. I doubt they’ll keep anything close to the comics in this series.

  3. Bear in mind who they might be making this for. I’m sure my nephews who are 7 and 10 will eat this up, but for any adults watching, it might be a bitter pill to swallow. I’m hoping it at least lasts long enough that we get to find out who the red dinosaur is.

  4. What are you talking about? That looks more promising than the Avengers Assemble show and they are fighting Annihilus and his army.

From what i’ve seen they’ve got their personalities down and the story itself is interesting. Especially the mystery with Skaar.
