During the Marvel Animation panel at SDCC, they announced an upcoming Incredible Hulk animated movie. They likened it to The Killing Joke movie that was just released in terms of how dark and more adult it would be geared towards. See more information below:
The panel also previewed a feature-length animated special, “Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell,” set to air this fall. The movie will feature Hulk, Doctor Strange and the Howling Commandos. “Basically, Hulk — he’s dealing with his own demons, and his anger towards Banner,” Tastasciore said. “It’s a really creepy show, actually. I’m surprised how far you guys went.” Randomski concurred: “It’s kind of dark for the content we’ve been producing over the past several years.”
From the floors of SDCC, props from new years Thor: Ragnarok movie and they include the Planet Hulk style helmet and his battle axe. How freakin awesome is this. I must have this helmet, that is all there is to it. Again how completely awesome does that helmet look. I am almost speechless.
Marvel has released a new variant cover for The Fallen, showcasing the after effect of the Hulk’s death, from Leinil Yu.
Pictures from the Sideshow Toys SDCC booth showing the upcoming Hulk vs Wolverine statue and it looks great so far!!! Looks to be 1/5 scale. They should be releasing price and timing information soon so stay tuned!
Hope it is not spoiling it for you but Bruce Banner was killed in Civil War II: #3 which was kept a kinda poorly held secret before it’s release today. Marvel solicited a comic book called The Fallen with no information but now they have released the following info:
Longtime “Hulk” scribe Greg Pak is writing the issue with “All-New X-Men’s” Mark Bagley on art duties. Along with the main cover by Leinil Yu, “The Fallen” variant covers by Mike Del Mundo and Hulk co-creator Jack Kirby have been unveiled.
“The Hulk family — including Amadeus, Rick, Jen, Skaar, Betty, Ross, and the Warbound — are the folks who knew Banner the best — and each will respond to his death in his or her own way,” Pak said of “The Fallen.” “And yes, they’re a family, so we’ll see them grapple with all of this together, for better or for worse.”
As for “The Accused,” writer Marc Guggenheim and artists Garry Brown & Ramon Bachs are set to offer up the story of Hawkeye’s trial in the fallout of his murder of Banner. The one-shot sees Hawkeye enlist the help of Matt Murdock (a.k.a. Daredevil) to serve as his prosecutor.
Okay, awesome news from Lego! There will be a Hulk centric set coming soon which will include the Red Hulk, Red She-Hulk and a She-Hulk figure. How great is that! See more info below:
the new set sees the Lego minifig debut of She-Hulk (Jennifer Walters), Red Hulk (Thunderbolt Ross) and Red She-Hulk (Betty Ross) and comes with two vehicles themed around the colors of the two sets of Hulks. Both the Green Hulks’ buggy and the Red Hulks’ beefed up trike come with stud shooters, so the two sets of monster-people known for their ability to smash things with their fists can fire projectiles at each other.
The Hulk v Red Hulk set will total 375 pieces and retail for $59.99.
Amadeus Cho- Hulk will become a member of the upcoming Champions comic book. Listed below is further information on the book:
The series, revealed at Entertainment Weekly, comes from writer Mark Waid and artist Humberto Ramos; Alex Ross turned in a variant cover for the series. The new team book will star former “All-New, All-Different Avengers” characters Nova, Ms. Marvel and Spider-Man. Joining them is Amadeus Cho, the star of “Totally Awesome Hulk,” as well as the teen Cyclops (previously seen in “All-New X-Men”) and Vision’s daughter Viv, who comes to the team from the synthezoid’s series. As “Champions” stars a team of teen heroes, the book will have a “youthful activist energy.”
Looks like Sideshow Toys will be releasing a new Incredible Hulk vs Wolverine maquette based on the artwork by Paolo Rivera as shown below. Should be very cool looking, I will post more information as soon as it is released.
In anticipation of the release of issue #8 of the Totally Awesome Hulk #8 next week, Marvel has released the teaser image shown below. Looks like Amadeus might not be the Hulk moving forward. We all knew this would not be a long term situation, based on some of the artwork for the future state of Marvel, looks like Bruce will be back to being the Hulk soon.
