Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you all know that the Avengers movie starts tomorrow. Okay, really it starts tonight at midnight! I will be there with the whole family. Remember to go out and support this movie as much as you can. If this movie is a huge success, it will increase the odds for another Incredible Hulk movie and let’s be honest, we all want another Incredible Hulk movie.

Hot on the heals of the post this morning with speculation that there will be another Incredible Hulk movie is news that Mark Ruffalo has signed on with Marvel Studios to play the Hulk in another six movies. Figure that there will probably be another 2 Avengers movies, that means that there could be another 3 solo Incredible Hulk movies eventually. AWESOME NEWS!!!!!
Could we be getting another Incredible Hulk movie in 2015? Well, looks like odds are increasing due to how well the Hulk is being received in the Avengers movie.
Talking with Forbes about the studio’s merchandising strategy, Marvel’s President of Consumer Products Paul Gitter reveals that executives are “pleasantly surprised by the phenomenal response” to the Hulk — so much so that, if the character’s popularity continues to grow, the company “will spin him off to a stand-alone program next year,” supported by his own film in 2015. That’s in addition to the Guillermo del Toro-David Eick television revival, which if all goes well, could debut on Disney-owned ABC in 2013.
Gitter credits the Hulk’s turnaround to a tweaking of the character that could set him on the path to becoming a corporate icon, similar to how MetLife uses Snoopy. “We repositioned him from where he was always misunderstood to now depicting him in a more heroic and aspirational manner,” he said
Come on people, keep talking about the Hulk and asking for another movie!!!!!
I really enjoyed Adam Kubert’s interpretation of the Incredible Hulk when he was on the book but Adam does not sell much of his artwork from any of the books he is on. I would love to own a Hulk cover he did but I don’t think I will ever be to afford it so this freaking amazing double page splash is the next best thing. This piece is simply incredible, I love the sheer emotion that is coming from the page with the Hulk cradling Betty in his arms when she falls ill and he busts out to get her to somewhere safe. Love this page. Pencils were of course by Adam Kubert and the inks by the very talented Mark Farmer.
In case you have not been to your local Target, they have put out some really cool advertising in the toy section to highlight the Avengers movie toys. On the floor near the toys are Hulk footprints in the ground with cracks eminating from them. Very cool. Hanging from the ceiling is an Incredible Hulk cut-out which looks great. Go to your Target and take a look!
The Avengers movie is a week away, I hope you all have your tickets to the midnight premier! Marvel has released an international trailer which has a heck of a lot of Hulk in it!
The Handful of Heroes figures actually came out over a year ago or so but I am still trying to finish the Wave 2 Incredible Hulk and related figures. It was amazing how many different incarnations of the Hulk that they made!! Each figure came in three versions: solid plastic, clear plastic, and clear plastic with glitter in it (also known as cosmic). Here are the latest ones I have gotten. They didn’t released just Hulk figures (althought that would have been cool. They also did Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, and others but there were by far more Hulks than any other figures. You can still find some of these packages at Wal-Mart and Toys-R-Us stores.
